Due to the popularity of the online information session held on Monday, Broadland Council are repeating the session for those who are looking to host a Ukrainian refugee or family in Norfolk.

Due to a resignation Felthorpe Parish Council are looking for a motivated person to become a Parish Councillor.

You should consider becoming a parish or town councillor if:

• You would like to do something positive for your community
• You would like to spend your time productively
• You can think, listen and act locally

To become a councillor, you must satisfy the following criteria on the day you are co-opted:

• be at least 18 years of age
• be a British citizen, a qualifying citizen of a Commonwealth country, a citizen of the Irish Republic, or a citizen of another member state of the European Union

You must also meet at least one of the four following qualifications on the day you are co-opted:

• be registered as a local government elector for the local authority area in which you are standing
• have occupied as an owner or a tenant any land or premises in the local authority area in which you are standing during the whole of the 12 months before the day you are nominated
• have had your main or only place of work during the last 12 months in the local authority area in which you are standing
• have lived in the local authority area in which you are standing during the whole of the last 12 months

Norfolk County Council has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting The Street from 40m north of its junction with School Road for 50m northwards in Swannington because of tree felling works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) on 4^th April 2022 for the duration of the works expected to be about 1 day within the period.

Alternative route is via: The Street, Cawston Road, Clay Lane, Haveringland Road, The Street, Felthorpe Road, Upgate, School Road, The Street (Felthorpe, Haveringland, Swannington).

The person dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is Vinnie Purdy (Community and Environmental Services) Telephone 0344 800 8020.

Norfolk County Council has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting Bilney Lane from its junction with The Street for 45m southwards in the Felthorpe because of manhole repair works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) on 1^st February 2022 for the duration of the works expected to be about 1 day within the period.

Alternative route is via: The Street, Taverham Road, Reepham Road, Brands Lane, Bilney Lane (Felthorpe, Attlebridge).

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984  SECTION 14(1)

ORDER prohibiting the use by the public of footpath Felthorpe Restricted Byway 10 from its junction with Haveringland Road for 500m westwards in the PARISH OF FELTHORPE

WHEREAS the Norfolk County Council as Traffic Authority for the Administrative County of Norfolk is satisfied that to ensure public safety during resurfacing works is required at the footpath Felthorpe Restricted Byway 10 from its junction with Haveringland Road for 500m westwards in the PARISH OF FELTHORPE (hereinafter referred to as the said footpath) and that the use of the said footpath should be prohibited but the car park on Haveringland Road will remain open to the public, with effect from 5^th January to 28^th February 2022 for the duration of the works (if necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 6 months from the date of this Order)

NOW THEREFORE the Norfolk County Council DO HEREBY ORDER, that with effect from 5^th January to 28^th February 2022 for the duration of the works the said footpath SHALL NOT BE USED by the public

Norfolk County Council has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting Taverham Road from its junction with Reepham Road for 615m south-westwards in Felthorpe because of access to underground structure being required to facilitate cabling works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) between 09:30 and 15:30 on 16^th November 2021 for the duration of the works.
